Mick passed away on the 25th July.
Mick was a very active member of the Land Rover scene - starting as a youngster via his parents Geoff & Sandra.
He competed in numerous hill rallies with the Coleshill 4x4 team & close friend Martin Gallis. He was also often helping out at events as vehicle scrutineer when not competing .
Mick was a member of MROC from 1984 until recently & was well known & liked for his outgoing personality – always the life & soul of activities. He was even the subject of a cartoon in the Land Rover Owner magazine after a well known funny incident involving lots of mud & ropes ( ! ) at what we think was the 1994 Major’s Memorial Trial at Eastnor.
Mick loved life, Land Rovers, music & football via Wolves.
After battling cancer for a long while, his health had been improving & he’d re-joined the MROC Committee early this year to become more active in the Club again.
He made a big impact on many people & will be remembered & missed by all.
Mick’s funeral will be held on the 30th August
1.30 pm at St James Church, Lower Gornal , DY3 2HN.
2:50 pm Gornal Wood Crematorium DY3 2RL
(close family and friends to be seated first then rest to stand at back or outside)
The wake is at the Bulls Head Bar and Grill on the Himley road from about 3:30 till late.
Message from his son Lee : Dress code to be something gold and black ideally or if you have a Wolves T-shirt feel free to wear it as this was one of his main loves. Anyone also in the Land Rover clubs feel free to wear your jumpers
